Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao said on Friday that the Congress runs a ‘commission sarkaar’ in Telangana. 

Kavitha was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate from Hyderabad on March 15 in connection with the corruption and money laundering cases linked to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam and taken to Delhi.

BRS leader Rao accused the BJP of framing a conspiracy for political benefit through Delhi LG and unnecessarily arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader K Kavitha. 

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested K. Kavitha MLC, Telangana Legislative Council, on March 15, 2024, in the case of the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

Kavitha had sought interim bail, stating that her 16-year-old son has exams and needs his mother's moral and emotional support. However, Court refused to grant relief.

The BRS leader's advocate allegedly said that the ED is still seeking more time to procure some evidence so they are asking for five more days of custody of Kavitha in Delhi's excise policy case. 

Delhi Liquor Scam: The 46-year-old was apprehended by the federal anti-money laundering agency at her Banjara Hills home in Hyderabad.

Rajesh Ranjan (Pappu Yadav), former Lok Sabha MP from Bihar, Kunwar Danish Ali, LS MP from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, and Lal Singh, former LS member from Jammu & Kashmir, are notable leaders who have joined the Congress party.   

The four BRS leaders who joined the BJP are former MP Godam Nagesh, former MLA Saidhi Reddy, former MP Sitaram Naik and former MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao. 

Attacking the Opposition INDIA alliance, PM Modi said nothing is going to change in Telangana with Congress coming in place of BRS.
