Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Sunday experienced sudden weather changes with Dust Storms, Thunderstorms and Rainfall.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the capital on Sunday, predicting a partly cloudy sky. The weather forecast indicates very light to light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning, accompanied by gusty winds blowing at speeds of 30-40 kmph. These winds may temporarily reach up to 50 kmph during thunderstorms, particularly towards the evening or night.

Delhi Weather Fordcast For Monday

The weather forecaster issued a yellow alert for the national capital, predicting a partly cloudy sky with temperatures ranging from minimum 22 degrees Celsius to maximum 38 degrees Celsius on Monday. The forecast includes very light to light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning, accompanied by gusty winds blowing at speeds of 40-50 kmph, which may temporarily reach up to 60 kmph during thunderstorms.

 

Northeastern state including sikkim reeled under relentless rain today which caused the Teesta River’s water level to surge, even as the search for nine missing persons remained suspended following a tragic accident earlier this week.  

On Friday, a tourist vehicle carrying 11 people also veered off the road and plunged nearly 1,000 feet into the Teesta near Chubombu in Mangan district in which two passengers were rescued that night, the remaining nine -- including the driver -- are still unaccounted for.

Northeast region with various areas in Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and more are experiencing hevy rainfall with flooding, landslides and increasing river levels.

According to Assam Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, at least 5 people have died due to landslides in Assam, with the state government announcing Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the victims.
