Delhi-NCR Weather: The national capital received a sigh of relief from scorching heat as Delhi and the NCR region experienced rains and dusty winds on Thursday evening. This comes after the first heatwave of the season in Delhi was recorded on Monday with the maximum temperature touching 40.2 degrees Celsius. 

As per news agency PTI, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted rain and thunderstorms on Thursday in the national capital. 

Delhi's minimum temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius, released on Thursday, was 5.9 degrees above normal. This broke Wednesday’s record of 25.6 degrees and made it the highest minimum temperature in April in the last three years, according to weather agency data.

News agency ANI shared visuals of the light rain and pleasant weather in the national capital, Noida, and Ghaziabad on social media platform X.

PTI reported that the air quality of Delhi was recorded in the 'poor' category as the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 am stood at 243, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
