Drake Backs Virat Kohli! Canadian Rapper Bets Rs 6.41 Crore On RCB In IPL 2025 Final

New Delhi: Canadian rapper Drake has placed a whopping Rs 6.41 crore ($750,000) bet on Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to win the much-anticipated IPL 2025 finale today. In their epic clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the God’s Plan rapper has put his money on Kohli’s team to lift their maiden IPL trophy.

In a surprising move, the Kiki Do You Love Me hitmaker revealed on Instagram that he placed the massive wager via crypto-betting platform Stake, sharing a screenshot of the bet. If the Rajat Patidar-led RCB wins, Drake stands to win over $1.3 million (approximately Rs 11.11 crore).

The post was accompanied by RCB’s iconic slogan, “Ee Sala Cup Namde”, leaving many of Drake’s fans—especially in North America—surprised by his choice.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the IPL final is expected to generate hundreds of millions of dollars in betting revenue, with wagers ranging from as little as $5 to thousands of dollars from high-stakes punters.

The finale is also expected to be a star-studded affair, with Punjab team owner Preity Zinta likely to attend, along with actor RJ Mahvash, who is rumoured to be dating PBKS spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli’s wife, is also expected to be present to cheer him on. Several other Bollywood celebrities are also likely to grace the event.

RCB reached the final after a convincing win over PBKS in Qualifier 1, while Punjab defeated Mumbai Indians in their playoff battle. Both teams have won 18 matches each out of their 36 games this season.

With Drake betting such a staggering amount, all eyes are now on Ahmedabad as the cricketing world awaits tonight’s high-voltage showdown.
