The Delhi High Court on Monday said it will start hearing arguments from July 11 on re-opening of trial in five cases relating to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The court had earlier indicated that it is inclined to re-open trial in these cases.
Expressing satisfaction with the Delhi High Court re-opening five cases regarding the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday hoped that the cases gets fast tracked and justice is delivered swiftly.
The Centre-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) is likely to re-investigate around 186 cases of anti-Sikh riots in Delhi and some other states.
