Ishan Kishan double century News
On a sunny Saturday, with India aiming for a consolation win after losing the ODI series to Bangladesh, Kishan joined Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma in the list of Indian batters to reach the 200-mark in men's ODIs.
Kishan also added 290 runs for the second wicket with Virat Kohli, who made his 44th ODI hundred, and his first in the format since August 2019, also his 72nd international hundred.
Ishan scored 210 runs for India while hitting 24 fours and 10 sixes in his blistering.
Ishan Kishan replaced India captain Rohit Sharma who got injured in the second ODI.
The opening batter smashed 264 runs in Kolkata that remains the highest score by any batter in the limited-overs format to date.
