Mark Van Hei News
Second of three spacewalks came to an end after 6 hours 26 minutes.
The spacewalk is once again being led by Expedition 53 Commander Randy Bresnik, accompanied by Mark Van Hei, who joined him in the first spacewalk as well.
Spacewalks are regular events in support of the ISS assembly and maintenance, that science and space enthusiasts look forward to with the initiation of every consecutive expedition launch.
The two astronauts replaced one of two Latching End Effectors (LEE) on the station’s robotic arm, Canadarm2.
This is the first in the series of three spacewalks scheduled for the month of October, with Expedition 53 Commander Randy Bresnik taking the lead in all three.
The first spacewalk will be led by space station commander Randy Bresnik, accompanied by NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei.
