French company DCNS has obtained an Australian court order restricting newspaper 'The Australian' from further publishing leaked documents on India's Scorpene submarine project, and hand over all company material.
Embattled French defence firm DCNS has approached the Supreme Court in Australia seeking an injunction against 'The Australian' from further publishing the leaked documents of India's Scorpene submarine project.
Parrikar, on Friday had said the leaked documents do not contain information on the weapons systems.
Terming the leak of documents relating to India's Scorpene submarines as a "serious matter", French defence major DCNS on Wednesday said the issue is being thoroughly investigated by the French national authorities for defence security.
The Indian Navy said on Wednesday the leaked documents on the Scorpene submarine not impact its stealth and operational capabilities as the details are "old" and that the vessel`s "signature" will be known only once it heads for the open sea.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said documents relating to the French Scorpene submarine being built in the country appeared to have been hacked.
Stealth is considered the most important attribute of a submarine.
