Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday told Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that his country can supply Pakistan with the necessary infrastructure for which it is already in place.
Sharif, 67, had stepped down as PM after the Supreme Court disqualified him on July 28 from continuing in his office for dishonesty and ruled that corruption cases be filed against him and his children.
Though Sharif had met the presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Russia, a customary meeting with Xi was 'conspicuously absent'.
He conveyed this to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during their meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Astana on Friday.
The indiscriminate use of pellet guns was reflective of the barbaric mindset of Indian security forces, Nawaz told Ban.
We are probing and verifying that. Once we are done with that we would definitely bring the facts forward, Sharif said.
