IRCTC has launched a special tourist train in line with Dekho Apna Desh, an initiative of the Government of India to promote domestic tourism.

Named as 'Shri Ramayana Yatra', the circuit will have two travel components - one each in India and Sri Lanka

The train, with seating capacity for 800, will cover destinations in India and Sri Lanka which are associated with the life of Lord Ram. The entire journey would take 16 days.
