Uttarakhand tragedy death toll reaches 70
Rescue efforts underway for 134 missing persons
The Union Home Secretary is reviewing the status of the artificial lake formed due to the incident
Union Home Secretary on Monday chaired another meeting to review the status of the artificial lake which has formed in Chamoli.
He reviewed the action being taken to allow for more flow to the water.
He also reviewed removal of some obstructions which have formed at the site of the artificial lake.
The body was found at a coffer barrage of the THDC, it said.
With this recovery, the toll in the February 7 disaster has risen to 62 while 142 people are still missing, they said.
Rescuers had also begun an operation to drill through the debris from the mouth of the river to reach life-saving devices to the trapped workers.
But as the water level rose in the river which flows into the Alaknanda, rescue workers scrambled out of the tunnel with their heavy machinery.
The glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district has left many in distress. Indian military personnel teamed up with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police to mount rescue operations.
The glacial burst led to the rising of water levels in the river Rishiganga and washed away the Rishiganga small hydro project of 13.2 MW. It also damaged a bigger one further down the Dhauliganga river being built by state firm NTPC. According to reports, most of the missing people were working on these two projects.

Bhutan Prime Minister Lotay Tshering condoled the loss of life in the state of Uttarakhand due to a glacier burst and subsequent flooding
He tweeted, "Sending prayers for the souls lost to the Uttarkhand flood and wishing courage to those who are fighting the disaster"
"May those who are still missing be found in good health. We are with you, dear friends in India"

At least 10 people are feared dead and over 170 missing after a glacier crashed into a dam Tapovan-Reni area of Chamoli District of Uttarakhand on Sunday (February 7). The incident triggered massive flooding in Dhauliganga and Alaknanda Rivers and damaged houses and the nearby Rishiganga power project.
