Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the 5G auction is likely to get a good response from 5G service providers
The spectrum will be provided for a total period of 20 years.
The DoT will put up a total of 72097.85 MHz of the spectrum to auction.
Spectrum allotted through this auction can be used for 5G (IMT-2020).
Telecom Service Providers are conducting 5G trials in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and other cities.
It is the prerogative of the TSPs to launch 5G service in different cities as per their business/network plans.
