Just weeks after reporting job cuts and a disappointing fiscal quarter, Twitter announced Wednesday that chief operating officer Adam Bain is leaving the company.

 Millions of visitors who access Twitter's news, events, and entertainment updates through its home page, and those who access tweets through Google search, are among Twitter's biggest missed revenue opportunities.

And many advertisers, analysts and investors say Twitter already has the right person for the job: not interim CEO Jack Dorsey but Adam Bain, the company`s president and head of revenue, who has emerged as an early favourite.
