African Union Mission in Somalia News

 Shabaab fighters attacked an Ethiopian army base in central Somalia early Thursday in the latest raid targeting foreign soldiers deployed as part of an African Union force in the country, rebels and local residents said. 

Pentagon has said that the US air strike on a terrorist training camp in Somalia that killed 150 terrorists has degraded the Shabab militant group's ability to attack American and UN-mandated forces.
