The police van carrying Aftab Amin Poonawala was attacked outside Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi's Rohini where he was taken for a polygraph test.

According to sources, it took around 4-5 hours to record the statement of Laxman Nadar, a close friend of Shraddha Delhi Police team also recorded a statement from the owner of the house where Shraddha and Aftab used to live on rent before going to Delhi Sources said Delhi Police also tried to contact Aftab's family but his father's mobile number was switched off and the family could not be contacted

The police will accompany Poonawala to the places Walkar and Poonawala visited after leaving Mumbai to see if anything occurred during those trips that led to the murder

Delhi Police will produce Aftab Amin Poonawala, the live-in partner and killer of Shraddha Walkar, in Delhi’s Saket Court on Thursday during which it will request the court to extend his remand. Delhi Police officials who have interrogated Aftab have said that despite committing such a heinous crime, he has shown no signs of regret or remorse and appears confident.
