The first trainset was delivered to Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) by Alstom in September 2021 in Kanpur, and the Kanpur revenue service was inaugurated by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in December 2021.
The Agra Metro priority corridor, which is expected to start in 2024, is a six-km line connecting Taj East Gate with Jama Masjid and will have three elevated and three underground metro stations.

The much-awaited Agra Rail Metro Project is all set to be inaugurated on Monday (December 7). The project will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ia video conferencing in the presence of Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
