Akasa Air flight News
Akasa Air is preparing to induct two more Boeing aircraft in its fleet, while the carrier also plans on announcing a triple-digit aircraft order in the next 75 days or by the end of this year.
Akasa Air has been recently facing operational issues because of a number of pilots abandoning their duties and leaving the office without serving a mandatory contractual notice period.
The Akasa Air plane landed on a separate runway and passengers disembarked after which CISF personnel conducted a thorough search of the plane for about an hour.
In the next financial year, Akasa Air aims to add another 9 planes to its fleet, taking the total size to 28 as part of its expansion plan to increase the number of flights it operates every day.
Akasa Air is now operating flights to 14 destinations in India, including Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and more.
Akasa Air has added Lucknow as the 11th destination in its network with plans to add Goa as the 12th destination and to start the operations in January.
Akasa Air will operate two daily flights between Bengaluru and Pune from today (making it ninth destination on its network) and plans on increasing the frequency on the route in the near future.
