Austrians will again vote in a presidential election on October 2 after the far-right managed to get its narrow defeat from May declared null and void, the government said Tuesday.
Austria was preparing on Saturday for a re-run of May`s Presidential Election in a vote that gives Norbert Hofer another shot at becoming the EU`s first far-right president.
It was unclear what the next legal steps would be but Alexander Van der Bellen, the winner of the election, is due to be sworn in on July 8.
