Comedy group AIB on Monday announced that its founder-member Tanmay Bhatt will "step away' from his association with the group amid allegations that he did not take action against comedian Utsav Chakraborty, a Youtuber and ex-AIB member who was called out on social media for sending lewd messages to women.

Comedian Utsav Chakraborty, who has featured in some videos of comedy collective All India Bakchod (AIB), has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women who have come out about their experiences on social media. In his defence, he says the issue needs patience and context.

The video of the event was uploaded on YouTube a year later and it went viral.

It began with AIB official Twitter account posting a meme on Prime Minister Modi, using Snapchat's dog filter.

The AIB video titled 'If people treated other illnesses like they treat depression' shows how the world would be like if a physical illness like typhoid gets treated like depression.
