India's retail inflation during the month of December was at 5.72%.
The data was released by the ministry of statistics today.
The latest figures showed a marginal decline and further moderation in retail inflation.
Inflation rate in cereals and products stood at 5.25 per cent in January against 4.36 per cent month ago, while vegetables inflation for January stood at 50.19 per cent, against a 60.5 per cent in December 2019.
Vegetable inflation for November stood at 36 percent against 26 percent in October. Pulses and products recorded inflation of 13.94 percent in November against 11.72 percent in October.
