Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev has not conducted negotiations on sending peacekeeping troops to Syria during his visit to Moscow, Interfax news agency quoted Atambayev as saying on Saturday.

Deepening their ties, India and Kyrgyztan on Tuesday finalised broad contours of a bilateral investment treaty and inked six other pacts covering a range of areas besides resolving to work closely to combat challenge of terrorism, extremism and radicalism.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambaev also reviewed their cooperative engagement in the defence field.

The parliament of Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday endorsed plans to hold a referendum on December 11 on controversial constitutional changes for which the country`s president has been criticised.

Kyrgyzstan went to the polls on Sunday for a hotly-contested parliamentary vote, but the results are unlikely to change the ex-Soviet country's firmly pro-Russian trajectory.
