"Alstom T&D India has been awarded a contract of approximately euro 34 million by Power Grid Corporation of India (Power Grid) to supply two gas-insulated substations," the company said in a statement.
Alstom T&D India on Tuesday said it has been picked to lead the smart grid pilot project by Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board.
The equipment will serve as the main receiving substation to cater to power supply requirement of the Chitradurga unit, Alstom said in a statement.
