According to a New York Times report, the biggest e-commerce company Amazon is about to lay off employees on a large scale. In the name of cost cutting, they are preparing to fire about 11,000 employees. This will be the biggest layoff ever in Amazon's history.
The 1,800-square-foot (170-square-meter) store is selling a variety of food products, including bread, cheeses and ready-to-eat meals, as well as Amazon Meal Kits, which contain ingredients for home-cooked dishes.
US online retail titan Amazon, which has been accused of fostering a cutthroat workplace atmosphere, will try out teams that log 30-hour work weeks, the Washington Post reported on Friday.
