Amber Heard-Johnny Depp Defamation Trial: Heard jetted off to Europe in September 2022, just three months after her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, won his defamation trial against her on June 1.
Amber Heard's lawyers had announced that they would appeal immediately after the jury found on June 1 that she had defamed Depp by publishing an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she described herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse, reports Variety.

After the recent six-week trial in Fairfax County, Virginia, a seven-person jury reached a verdict on June 1, deciding that Johnny Depp, proved that Amber Heard defamed him in the 2018 op-ed. Depp has maintained that he never assaulted Heard and claimed she physically harmed him.
"People want to kill me and they tell me so every day," Amber Heard testifies in court.
While testifying, Amber Heard was asked about the instance when Johnny Depp said he was shown a photograph of "faecal matter on the bed" after Heard left with friends to go to Coachella back in April 2016, reports people.com.
Amber Heard is expected to give a fuller account of the alleged abuse when she takes the witness stand on Wednesday.
Another source told the newspaper that Amber Heard, 36, is "frustrated with her story not being told effectively."
