As wishes continue to pour in from all corners for Ramanathan, who is ranked 222 in the world, he took to Twitter to thank Indian tennis legend Leander Paes for his support.
Ramkumar Ramanathan will face veteran Cyprus star Marcos Baghdatis in the quarter-final.
The Indian had earlier defeated the 72-ranked Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva in the first round.
