The iPhone 7 is expected to make its global debut on Wednesday, but many consumers and investors are already setting their sights on Apple Inc`s 2017 version of the popular gadget, hoping for more significant advances.

Apple is expected to unveil a new iPhone and maybe even a second-generation smartwatch at a special event in San Francisco on Wednesday.

The rumor mill has been grinding away with talk of iPhone 7 models that will boast faster chips, more sophisticated cameras, and improved software.

Apple announced Swift Playgrounds for iPad that would allow users to play with Swift code on their device for the first time.

The iOS 10 will be supported on iPad 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPod touch 6th gen, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c ,iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6 iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Apple said Monday it was opening up its Siri digital assistant to outside applications, stepping up its artificial intelligence efforts to compete against rival services from Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

Apple WWDC will kick off at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Monday with renowned developer community coming together to learn about the future of OS X, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
