The army personnel were conducting a regular operational tasks in the forward area of the Machhal sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara.

At least three jawans suffered injuries after militants opened fire on an army convoy near a hospital on Parimpora-Panthachowk bypass road in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. 

Two soldiers and a policeman were killed and three others injured in an ambush by militants today in Kashmir where the situation otherwise was by and large peaceful amid curfew and restrictions in various places.

The 14-year-old girl, in her statement to the RPF, said that she had boarded the train from Howrah Junction.

Police said they have arrested one Army man, and the others will be arrested soon.

The attack, as per the investigations by the NIA, was carried out mainly by 15 cadres of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) using 'Lathod guns' and grenades.
