Asaram Bapu Convicted News

Gujarat's Gandhinagar court today announced the sentence of Asaram, the storyteller convicted in the rape case. Rapist Asaram will spend life in jail for raping a disciple. Today on Tuesday, the court has sentenced Asaram, convicted of rape, to life imprisonment.

Asaram has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the 2013 rape case. Two girls had filed a case against Asaram. Today the Gandhinagar Sessions Court gave its verdict on this matter.

Asaram Bapu Rape Case Sentencing: A sessions court in Gujarat had convicted Asaram Bapu under Indian Penal Code Sections 376 2 (C) (rape), 377 (unnatural offences), 342 (wrongful detention), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 357 (assault) and 506 (criminal intimidation), in the case lodged by his former woman disciple in 2013.
