Hit by a cash crunch, e-commerce company AskMe has decided to shut shop, leaving 4,000 staffers jobless, while its majority investor Astro said it will appoint a forensic auditor to review the books of the startup's parent firm Getit.
Online firm Askme is looking to make an initial investment of USD 100 million to fund its domestic and overseas expansion plans and increase its headcount to around 2,500 people over the next 12 months.
Askme says one app for all consumers needs across merchants, deals, classified and commerce.
