The water level of the Brahmaputra River has been rising due to heavy rainfall in many parts of Assam and neighbouring states in the past couple of days. According to ANI reports, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) reposted that nearly 1.34 lakh people including 33760 children of 7 districts of the state - Kamrup, Karimganj, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Cachar, Tinsukia, Lakhimpur, have affected in the deluge. IMD has issued a red alert for coming one days.
