The Finance Minister announced major reforms in the mineral mining sector and said the government would be enhancing private investments and introducing a seamless composite exploration-cum-mining-cum-production regime.

Observing that the Indian nuclear industry had come of age and was capable of growing fast, he said production had to be on convoy mode to meet the growing demand for cleaner, safer and cost-effective energy.
