The director will be paying close attention to the box office results of the film, reports Deadline. Cameron said that the performance of this movie will dictate the longevity of the film series.
Talking about rejecting 'Avatar', Govinda claimed he did not have enough dates.
The film, which brings together the largest gathering of superheroes, achieved the milestone on 48th day of its release, Disney said in a statement.
The actor is set to reprise the role of Neytiri in the upcoming "Avatar" movies.
Cameron promised the second film would come out in Christmas 2018, and he does not want the subsequent instalments to release too far from each other.
There is no new release date set for the film, and in fact, the previous release date was never officially confirmed by 20th Century Fox.
