According to the DGP, Punjab Police, five operatives apprehended from Tonk & Jaipur districts of Rajasthan and successfully averted further planned attacks. 

Punjab Police and SBS Nagar Police busted a Pakistan-backed BKI terror module, arresting five operatives, averting Independence Day attacks; weapons recovered. Punjab also deployed anti-drone systems to curb cross-border smuggling.

Punjab Police said that the module was being operated by the USA and Pakistan-based terrorists. It also said that the group was working to radicalise youth.

According to intelligence sources, Karanvir Singh is believed to be hiding in Pakistan and was a member of the pro-Khalistan terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International. 

The investigating agency had conducted large-scale searches over a period of six months and examined around 70 members of different Organised Crime Support networks.

Sandhu has been associated with the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and is presently based in Lahore, Pakistan under the patronage of cross-border agencies and has been found involved in various terrorist activities.

the Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday (September 7) arrested two terrorists of banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) after an ecnounter in North West Delhi. According to police, large amount of arms and ammunition have been recovered from them. The two terrorists identified as Bhupender alias Dilawar Singh and Kulwant Singh were wanted in several cases.

Backed by Pakistan’s ISI, the Babbar Khalsa International has expanded its presence in cities like Birmingham, Derby and Coventry.

The Patiala police earlier on March 19 confirmed the arrest of six Babbar Khalsa militants

Intelligence agencies fear that 15-20 terrorists may have crossed over to the Indian side in Punjab to launch terror strikes in the state, Delhi and other parts of the country.
