The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended due to escalating India-Pakistan tensions, and in response, the England Cricket Board has extended an offer to host the remaining matches of the tournament at their stadiums.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has divulged a partial schedule comprising the first 21 matches, extending until April 7, keeping in mind the pending announcement of the dates for India's general elections. Amidst a blend of anticipation and eagerness, fans eagerly await the electrifying clashes set to unfold across various iconic venues.

While the primary focus is on the IPL 2024 Opening Ceremony, it's noteworthy that the BCCI is also inviting bids for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 Opening Ceremony.

The penalty aligns with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, where teams face a five percent match fee fine for every over they fail to bowl within the allotted time.

The coaching trio comprising Batting Coach Vikram Rathour, Fielding Coach T Dilip, and Bowling Coach Paras Mhambrey will continue their roles with Team India, thanks to the BCCI's decision to extend their contracts.

In a recent communication to all IPL franchises, the BCCI revealed that the deadline for the release of the list of retained players has been extended to November 26.

The BCCI has also announced a standby list of players who will be ready to step in if needed. Harleen Deol, Kashvee Gautam, Sneh Rana, Saika Ishaque, and Pooja Vastrakar have been named as reserves, highlighting the depth and talent present in Indian women's cricket.
