Championship leader Lewis Hamilton returned Mercedes to the top of the Formula One timesheets in Saturday`s final practice for the Belgian GP. Sebastian Vettel ended the session in last place on a weekend that continued to get worse for Ferrari with teammate Leclerc finishing at 17th. Hamilton, winner of four of this season`s six races, leads Verstappen by 37 points in the overall standings with 11 of this season`s 17 races still to run.

The Brit champion was in fine form on Saturday when he took the pole position for his milestone race.

Hamilton was 0.092 faster than Ferrari's world championship leader Sebastian Vettel, with the German third on the timesheets and also setting his time on the quickest but least durable tyre.
