PM Narendra Modi said, "In India, technology is a force of equality and empowerment...since past, India has been contributing to make technology human-centric and democratic."
The Prime Minister informed that India jumped to the 40th rank in the Global Innovation Index from 81st rank in 2015 this year. The number of unicorn start-ups in India has doubled since 2021, as India emerges as the third largest start with 81000 recognized start ups. The Indian talent pool has encouraged hundreds of international companies to have their R & D centres in India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bengaluru Tech Summit, 2020 on Thursday at 11 am.
The Bengaluru Tech Summit is scheduled from November 19-21.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa said that they have established an innovation authority which will drive research and development in partnership with the entrepreneurs.
