Project Kusha, a R 21,700 crore DRDO-led initiative with Bharat Electronics Limited, aims to deliver a long-range air defence system rivaling the S-400 by 2028. Featuring M1, M2, and M3 missiles (150-350 km), it counters stealth jets, drones, and Mach 7 ASBMs, enhancing India’s air and naval supremacy.
Inducted this year, the system was deployed widely in Punjab, J&K and Rajasthan during the recent conflict.
