Bihar Municipal Election Results 2022 Highlights: The voting was held on December 18 for 156 wards of 224, where voter count was over 59 percent. 

Voting for seven assembly seats across six states has started. Many of these seats are a direct contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and regional parties.

Nitish Kumar took the oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 8th time on Aug 10 RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav took charge of the post of Deputy CM At the oath-taking ceremony, Nitish launched an attack at the BJP and claimed that he didn't want to be the CM in the year 2020

Kapil Sibal's comments criticising the leadership after the Bihar election defeat has "hurt the sentiments" of party workers across India, said Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. In a series of tweets, Gehlot said, "There was no need for Mr Kapil Sibal to mentioned (sic) our internal issue in Media, this has hurt the sentiments of party workers across the country."

Tejashwi Yadav thanked the people of Bihar for voting in favor of the grand alliance, and said, "The mandate was in favor of the grand alliance, but the result of the Election Commission was in favor of the NDA."

Praising the Youth Congress workers, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said: "We have the experience and you have the enthusiasm, it is my job to combine the both.”

BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday said those with "vested interests" are refusing to learn lessons from the Bihar debacle.
