The top court will hear petitions challenging Bihar's Special Intensive Revision on Monday. In the previous hearing, the SC had asked the ECI to consider “in the interest of justice” if documents such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, and Ration Cards could be accepted for voter verification.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin strongly criticized the Centre amid the Bihar electoral roll revision row, accusing it of undermining democracy and constitutional values. He warned the BJP-led government "not to play with fire" and suppress opposition voices.

The ECI said the lists of those electors who have not filled the enumeration forms or are deceased and those who have permanently migrated have already been shared on July 20 with all 12 political parties. Nearly 99.8 percent of Bihar electors have been covered so far under the SIR exercise.

In order to get their names included in the draft electoral rolls to be published on August 1, electors have to submit their EFs, preferably, along with eligibility documents.
