 With the fresh fatalities, over 40 people have lost their lives to lightning strikes in various districts of Bihar in the last 10 days, including 22 in the last 48 hours.  

Parts of Delhi received light rains on Wednesday but the capital will have to wait more for monsoonal showers. heavy rains pounded Karnataka causing landslides in hilly regions. The MeT department has warned of large-scale lightning activities in Bihar.

Lightning fell from the sky in many districts of Bihar. 28 people died due to lightning. The CM of Bihar announced compensation while expressing grief.

10 people have died due to lightning strikes in 7 districts in Bihar. CM Nitish appealed to people to remain vigilant and stay indoors. More than 160 people have died due to lightning strikes in last 3 weeks.

There were three casualties in Purnea, two in Begusarai. One each died in Patna, Saharsa and East Champaran. More than 150 people in Bihar have died due to lightning in the past 25 days.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh each to the kin of the people who lost their lives, informed the Bihar Chief Minister's Office.

According to the weather forecast agency, light to medium-intensity rain can lash for at least 2-3 hours and affect parts of at least six districts in the state on Tuesday.

The lightning struck the children when they were picking mangos in an orchard at Siya village, Kahalgaon Circle Officer Radhamohan Singh said.
