The forces identified the slain terrorist as Zahid Ahmad Dass, resident of Waghama, Anantnag. He was involved in an attack on CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Bijbehara, Anantnag on June 26 this year.
The attack took place on a joint patrol team deployed in highway security in Bijbehara in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Soon after the incident, a police team rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
In a tweet, the Kashmir Zone Police said, '''the slain terrorist has been identified as Aijaz Malik of Hizbul Mujahideen.''
