Solar scam accused Saritha Nair today said she would move a higher court against the three year sentence awarded to her by a court in Kerala on December 16 in a cheating case.

Former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy on Friday deposed before a judicial commission probing charges in the solar panel scam, allegedly linked to his staff.
The one-member panel probing the "solar scam" on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against Saritha Nair, a key accused in the fraud that has shaken political circles in Kerala.

Asked for his reaction, Chandy said the timing of the letter was "a bit baffling" as the state is heading towards assembly elections.

Nair and her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan were arrested in 2013 on charges of cheating numerous investors, who paid money for solar panels.
Saritha Nair, one of the prime accused in the solar panel scam in Kerala, on Monday deposed before a judicial commission.

CM Chandy maintained that the scam had not caused any loss to the government exchequer .
