The tri-services court of inquiry has submitted its preliminary findings into chopper crash that killed CDS Gen Bipin Rawat.
It said the crash was due to the 'spatial disorientation' of the pilot.
'The accident was a result of entry into clouds due to unexpected change in weather conditions in the valley,' the probe report said.
CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 12 defence personnel lost their lives in the crash involving the Mi-17V5 chopper flown by the commanding officer of the 109 helicopter unit Wg Cdr Prithvi Singh Chauhan.
