The Rafale fighter got its new home with the Indian Air Force after Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa resurrected the No.17 'Golden Arrows' Squadron at Haryana's Ambala airbase. The Golden Arrows Squadron has been put on Indian Air Force's active Order of Battle following the resurrection.
The No. 17 'Golden Arrows' Squadron, based in Haryana's Ambala air base, will be resurrected for the Rafale fighters. IAF will be receiving the first Rafale jet in France on September 20, 2019.
Sukhoi Aircraft Company, a part of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation, on July 29, 2019, announced that the Su-57 has entered mass production stage. The company added that it has signed a deal with the Defence Ministry for 76 Su-57 fighters for the Russian Aerospace Force.
