As October approaches, many changes in the personal finance landscape are about to implement from the first day itself. Some of them may have a direct or indirect impact on your lives. 

The new rule allows the use of a birth certificate as a single document for usage into several things like educational institution admission, driving licence issuance, preparation of voter list, Aadhaar number, registration of marriage or appointment to a government job.

In order to streamline, liberalise and ease the process of issue of passport, the government has said that the birth certificate is no longer required to get a passport.

Applications for majority of services like birth or death certificates will soon be simplified and converted into one-page form format, the government announced on Friday.

There is no proposal to mention the caste of children in birth certificate, Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.

The Modi govt has also reportedly proposed draft guidelines to all states suggesting that the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe status of a person be indicated in his birth certificate.
