TV actor Anuj Saxena on Thursday surrendered before a Delhi court in connection with a graft case in which co-accused and senior bureaucrat BK Bansal, his wife and children committed suicide last year.

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to the Centre on a PIL seeking SIT probe into the harassment and consequent suicide by late Corporate Affairs Ministry officer BK Bansal, who was being investigated in an alleged corruption case.

Bansal and his son committed suicide, last week, by hanging at their residence in East Delhi.

BK Bansal Bansal, who was facing a CBI probe over an alleged scam, and his son committed suicide on September 27, two months after his wife and daughter had hanged themselves.

The DCW on Monday asked the Delhi Police if an FIR has been filed against those named in the suicide note of senior bureaucrat BK Bansal and also pulled up the CBI for `unsatisfactory` response to a notice issued to them.

BK Bansal and his 31-year-old son Yogesh committed suicide on Sep 27 by hanging themselves at their house in east Delhi.

The NHRC and DCW on Thursday issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the suicide of senior bureaucrat BK Bansal and his family members.

The suicide notes written by BK Bansal contain allegations against certain CBI officials in connection with the on-going bribery investigation against him and his family.

BK Bansal, who was the Director General of Corporate Affairs, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in July on alleged charges of bribery.

In a major development, a special court on Wednesday granted 22 days of interim bail to Director General of Corporate Affairs BK Bansal, whose wife and daughter committed suicide on Tuesday.

Director General Corporate Affairs BK Bansal was nabbed from a hotel while bribe was allegedly being exchanged.
