Air India Express and AIX Connect are merging, planning to introduce 50 B737 MAX planes within 15 months.
Domestic budget air carriers SpiceJet and Akasa Air currently operate the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with CFM engines in India.

SpiceJet has entered into a settlement with aircraft lessor Goshawk Aviation and its affiliated entities related to two Boeing 737 Max aircraft and one Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft.
