Bow and arrow symbol News
In a major blow to Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), the Lok Sabha secretariat on Tuesday allotted the party office in Parliament House to Eknath Shinde-led Faction.
The election symbol for the undivided party formed by the late Balasaheb Thackeray, the bow and arrow, was previously assigned to the Eknath Shinde-faction by the polling panel on February 17.
The Election Commission on Friday decided that the Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was the real Shiv Sena and symbol of `Bow and Arrow` would be retained by the Shinde group.
In a big blow to Uddhav Thackeray, the Election Commission (EC) on Friday allotted the name 'Shiv Sena' and its poll symbol 'bow and arrow' to the group led by CM Eknath Shinde.
The EC also said that the name of `Balasahebanchi Shivsena` and the symbol of Two Swords and Shield, which was allotted to the petitioner by way of the interim order will henceforth be frozen with immediate effect.
