Former principal of the government- run BRD medical college in Gorakhpur Rajiv Mishra and his wife were today taken into custody by Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force (STF) for questioning in connection with the death of 60 children within a span of 48 hours at the hospital.
In this case, the college principal, after filing a case against nine people, including his wife, filed caveats before the two benches of the state high court on the instructions of the health department.
The FIR was filed under various IPC sections relating to criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide and relevant provisions of the Anti Corruption Act by Director General, Medical Education, KK Gupta at the Hazratganj police sation here, the ADG said.
