Drug firm Panacea Biotec Wednesday said its promoters have entered into a family agreement under which they plan to demerge the company's real estate business into a separate firm to be later listed on bourses.

India's third-largest software services firm Wipro on Wednesday said its shareholders have approved the company's Rs 11,000-crore buyback proposal.

The resolution was listed on the agenda of 98th Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday.

This ends suspense over reports that HCL Infosystems is in talks with the Cupertino-based tech giant to distribute its products in India. 

The company said the results of the period are not comparable due to its acquisition of Reliance Cement Company which became its wholly-owned subsidiary from August 22, 2016.

"Max Financial Services (MFS), Max India and Max Life today confirmed that the proposed merger with HDFC Life has been called off. The exclusivity agreement with HDFC Life, valid till July 31, 2017, will not be renewed," Max India said in a BSE filing.
